Chilly week – Possible flurries or wet snow Tuesday and Thursday

Monday chill – Tuesday afternoon flurries

I would expect the fog and low cloud to stick around in Port Alberni over the next few days but other regions should see more variable skies with cloud and sun poking through.

On Tuesday a very weak system with move through in the afternoon.

Precipitation should fall as showers and rain on the west coast. Higher elevations might see wet snow or flurries but it won’t amount to much.

Cold upper air moving in late week

Arctic air starts to move in on Tuesday and while it doesn’t look like a very strong push from the Interior, it is more than what we have seen lately. Here is a bit of progression.

Environment Canada has a chance of flurries for Thursday but the more likely time for flurries is next week. EC expects flurries Sunday night and UWash agrees.

This shows flurries across the Island on Sunday night. That’s a long ways away though so we’ll keep an eye on it.
