Back to the Sun

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Should be nice and warm today and the next few. Hopefully it holds through the weekend for the Tall Ships festival and Forest Fest!

I received my UV sensor on Friday… hoping to get the Solar sensor early this week so that I can have it up and running by next week! I’ll keep you posted.

There is also talk of a new webcam in a beautiful spot in Port Alberni, I won’t divulge any details until it comes online, but I think you’ll like it!

Cool Weather for a few days

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Looks like we’ll get a bit of a break from the heat for a few days before it revs up again late next week.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for active weather to drool over, I highly recommend Jeff Masters blog on WUnderground. He mostly tracks Hurricanes.

Happy Canada Day!

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

I almost missed it!

Happy Canada Day everyone! Happy 141st birthday Canada.
Happy 150th birthday BC.
Happy 250th Birthday Nova Scotia.
And most of all… Happy 400th… yes Four Hundredth Birthday to Quebec City.
The Founding City of Canada!

Champlain landed at “Point of Quebec” and started building on July 3rd, 1608… so festivities in Quebec City will reach their peak on Thursday.

It was a wonderful day… but then really, it is always a wonderful day to be Canadian.

To steal the favourite words of a former Prime Minister.

Vive Le Canada!
