As I type, the rain is coming down very hard in Nanaimo.

in fact, it is doing just as the UWash model said it would…. Notice the blob of rain off Nanaimo in the image below.

There are eports of heavy rain, hail, even a water spout was spotted in Georgia Strait yesterday.

The crazy weather will continue this evening but should clear by midnight.

We might see some clear breaks on Saturday through the morning and early afternoon but the unstable weather will return by late afternonn though nothing like today.  It will definitely be the best day of the weekend and by sunset you will be watching the Canucks beat Calgary anyway right!?

You will want to get your outside work done early Sunday.  By noon, the threat of rain will increase and full on rain will begin by 2PM and last the rest of the day and linger into Monday as well.

Sorry for the late report.

If you are worried about the weather, just remember:  Keep Calm and GO CANUCKS GO! 🙂

P.S. There was also another earthquake near Haida Gwaii today. 6.1M No threat of Tsunami.  Sure has been active there lately. Check my twitter link for info.
