Battery dead (Confirmed – replaced)

It looks like the battery in the outdoor temperature/humidity/rain sensor is low or has failed this morning.

I noticed that the temperature had not changed after the sun came out from the fog.

Even though the wind gauge is still functional, and so that it doesn’t record erroneous data, I’m going to take the whole weather system off line from the web until I can get home and replace the battery.

I suspect the new location of the temperature station gets less sunlight, so the battery is probably cycling more than it has in the past. It’s never been replaced (or maybe once?) so the lack of sunlight likely hastened its failure.

The webcam is separate so it will continue but the overlay information will be incorrect.

Live data should return before sundown! 🙂
