As you have likely heard, a fire was discovered this morning burning on the ridge above Cameron Lake.  It is suspected to be person caused.

Crews and helicopters have been on scene. The fire is on Island Timberlands property.

It should not be a great concern thanks to the location and the little bit of rain we have had today…. but yet again we have a fire that does not need to be there if only people were smarter in the back country.

It is still under 1 hectare. Hopefully it stays small.

take care out there.
