Rain starting Thursday night and running into Friday and Saturday.

Another California storm sending weather our way.

A low is heading into southern Oregon and Northern California and will be delivering rain to the entire Pacific Northwest plus most of California.

Preparing for rain…

Expect cloudy skies today as we prepare for a new round of showers and rain tonight spun up our way from the storm to the south.

It might start to shower this afternoon in some sections, particularly the west coast, but they should not reach into the Port Alberni and east coast areas until around midnight.

Rain Scale – Millimeters on top, centi-inches on bottom. (1024cin = 10 inches)

Rain will intensify through the night and peak first in the 4-7AM hours of Friday in Port Alberni and points north of Qualicum.

It will back off a bit through the day on Friday before picking up again in the evening with rain across the Island.

There will be widespread rain throughout the night on Friday before it starts to move on to the south and east Saturday morning. Expect some wind on Friday night as well.

Showers will linger on Saturday but should clear Sunday.
