Update – 3:35PM:

From BC Forest Service twitter: Hi @devourNconquer, #hwy4 is not affected by the fire or smoke, but people are stopping to look, which could be a hazard. @alberniweather

Update – 2:05PM:

@alberniweather 11 personnel and 2 helicopters from the Coastal Fire Centre are responding to a 0.3 hectare fire near the #PortAlberni hump.

Update – 1:24PM:  Have word water is being bucketed on the fire and there is no affect right now on Highway 4.  Traffic is moving smoothly.
