Well… I think it’s about time we had an annual “snow pool”… that is, a pool to see who can predict the first snowfall… closest date without going over wins! I say December 5. Snowfall will be considered any noticeable accumulation/sticking on my neighbours roof in front of the webcam or seen outside my doorstep…

Hopefully we get a little breath of wind but we usually get the Southerly and Sou’Westerly flows. Nice little low creeping up the coast there.

I hope not… but it kinda looks like we will be lucky to get the kids out and back dry. Too early to tell for sure right now so lets keep our fingers crossed that the low coming through on Friday saves its worst fury for the Day of the Dead instead of Hallows Eve!

My final post about this topic… that ship that was caught in the storm in Alaska… sounds like it lost its steering, foundered and took on water in 30ft waves, and eventually flipped over. 7 crew of 11 made it to a lifeboat, but at some point the raft was tossed and only 4 remained…
