You only have one more week to make your guess in the Snow Contest! Head to the Snow Contest Post to make your entry or email it to alberniweather@gmail.com.

We’re in for a little bit of wind today as a low spins offshore.  Here is the satellite picture this morning.goes_wcan_1070_100-2

There is no warning posted for Port Alberni but there is for the East and West Coast of Vancouver Island particularly northern sections of the East Island.

We should be getting some rain from the system this morning though to 11AM when the front should have moved past.  It should remain dry most of the day and then the rain will return overnight, break a little in the early morning on Tuesday and then rain all day Tuesday.  The wettest system will start Wednesday morning and last all day overnight to Thursday.

In all, a pretty soggy start to the week.  For the 3 days between Monday 5AM and Thursday 5AM we expect to receive 30mm of rain.
