The warning levels do appear to be diminishing.

An Advisory continues for BC.

The Warning has been downgraded to an Advisory for part of California now. Unfortunately the BBC has reported someone was washed away from a beach in California when they were taking photos earlier today. US Coast Guard is searching for them.

In Ucluelet, I’ve just heard another surge was noticed/recorded around 2:40PM PST so we will likely see the same in the Inlet.

Earlier this morning we had reports of people seeing the Somass River stop, flow upstream, stop, flow downstream, stop flow upstream… etc.

Please have extreme caution near the water until all Advisories are over.
