So the long weekend wasn’t the greatest. Hopefully everyone still had a good time. Sometimes the best times are had when the weather is at its worst!

The good news is that warm weather is on its way back again. We can expect highs into the mid twenties on Friday and maybe Saturday if we’re lucky.

The Report for the month is showing we are averaging highs of 17.2C which is very close to the normal of 17.7C. Our mean minimum has been 5.2C compared to an average of 5.6C.

What has been a little unusual has been the lack of rain. I’ve recorded just under 24mm whereas the normal is around 75mm. It forecasts don’t look like they will deliver any more significant rainfall so we will have to deal with that.

Forecasts are starting to warm some for summer… So if something surprising happens on the hot side then the early start to the dry season could mean trouble in the forests. Something to be watchful.

And speaking of watchful… I’ve worked hard over the weekend to figure out some better solutions for Timelapse videos. The GoPro is working better now and I’ve created a self-updating YouTube feed on the webcam page. (if you’re interested in how I did it I’d be happy to share the code). I have a few other tricks u my sleeve for the videos that I think you might like so stay tuned. 🙂
