Quick pre-Gold Medal Hockey Game forecast!

I’m hoping the imminent hockey game will be keeping most people of the roads tonight and tomorrow.

There is heavy snow at this hour on the South Island on and north of the Malahat to Nanaimo. Here is the high elevation highway webcam in Nanaimo near VIU.

There is a threat of snow all day tomorrow all over the Island but especially the East and South.

Between 4AM Sunday and Monday up to 10cm is expected (2-4″) in various areas.

It will be much like today was, with the rain changing to snow and back again and never being too sure if it will stick. This will make accumulations extremely variable and localized.

GO CANADA!
