Monday heat to start May – Sprinkles Tuesday but warm rest of week

After a fantastic weekend we will get to enjoy one more excellent day today as temperatures are slated to reach into the high twenties between 27-29°C. We will easily break a record set at the Airport. I have not checked it it is near an all time record but I suspect not quite.  We did not set any records on the weekend.

The heat will end Tuesday but it is still going to be quite pleasant with a high of 17°C and then 20°C on Wednesday and gradually warmer all week and through the weekend. We could be back near thirty by Saturday/Sunday.

The showers Tuesday will be brief and scattered.  Hardly worth an umbrella.

The total rainfall will be barely a trace, only 2mm.

One last thing, I went and checked out the new Alberni Aquarium and Stewardship Centre at the Harbour Quay (in the former clocktower gallery spot).  It was great! Kids have fun checking out the local wildlife.  They are continuing to set up their displays but its looking really cool.  A great additon and new connection to our local ecosystems!
