Freezing drizzle warning for
Inland Vancouver Island issued

Freezing drizzle is expected tonight.

This is a warning that an extended period of freezing drizzle is occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

Freezing drizzle has developed over much of the South Coast this evening. A combination of light snow and freezing drizzle is expected to persist through Tuesday morning. Significant ice accumulations and slippery, hazardous road conditions are likely.

Significant ice accumulations could cause ice build up on roads, cars, houses, and worse of all power lines.

It does not appear that we will get any strong precipitation tonight, but I would recommend getting prepared in case of power outages due to the ice buildup. We are not going to be above freezing for at least another day.
