Just in time for spring. Possible snow Saturday!

There is a possibility for some snow on the Island tonight and tomorrow! Yes I said snow! 🙂

Nothing major in our area, in fact the models don’t predict more than a skiff of snow in the Alberni Valley. But if you are driving on the East Coast of the Island or over any of the mountain passes, you should be prepared for poor conditions.

Light snow is to start early Saturday morning before 5AM

And will spread to other parts of the Island by 8AM.

You can see the East Island and higher elevations getting most of it. The threat of snow should end around noon Saturday.

By the end of the day Saturday the snow map looks like possible 5-10cm at higher elevations. But very little in Port Alberni.
