Want to do an Earthquake drill with millions around the Globe?

Alberniweather.ca is signed up as a “Community Group” participating in the Great BC Shakeout this Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 10:18AM.

If you would like to participate and have your participation registered, just leave a comment on this post. I will tally up everyone who comments here and add them to the totals on the website.

What’s Happening?

At 10:18AM on Thursday October 18, 2012

There will be tweets, facebook posts, radio announcements, and TV announcements to remind you.

I will make a post/tweet at that exact time as well to remind everyone.

Comment here on this post (just like our contests) if you are going to participate. You don’t need to register on the ShakeOut site.

And just for fun… when the drill is done, take a photo of the spot you chose to take cover under and send it to alberniweather@gmail.com. (It doesn’t have to include a picture of you 🙂 ) It would be cool to compare all the different places we find ourselves at any particular moment in the day.

So that’s it. It’s pretty easy, will be a lot of fun, and it should help you figure out where best to find cover for when there is actually an Earthquake.
