UPDATED 4PM: East Island Snow Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Not much here.

A warning has been issued for the East Island of up to 25cm of snow through Sunday. A statement continues for our area up to 15cm.

Inland Vancouver Island continued

5 to 15 cm snowfall possible at higher elevations tonight through Sunday.

A low pressure system off Vancouver Island will spread increasing amounts of moisture across the South Coast. Snow at times mixed with rain is expected for Sunshine Coast and Greater Victoria regions tonight through Sunday morning. Snow is forecast over the higher areas with amounts potentially reaching 15 cm by Sunday afternoon.

The public, especially those with travel plans this weekend, are advised to stay tuned to the latest forecasts and warnings from Environment Canada at WWW.WEATHER.GC.CA. send your weather reports at #bcstorm.

The models have pushed the snow up a few hours and weekend the system.

If you are headed for the East Island expect treacherous road conditions Saturday afternoon and through Sunday.

You can see the snow on the east coast starting before 4PM.
