As for the weather:

This will be our last really hot day for a week or so. There isn’t any rain in the forecast, just some cloudy periods and chances of showers on Friday, but it should only last until Sunday at which point we are back into the sun. The long range forecast through August has us cooling down a bit, but again, still dry, so should still be pleasant.
