As I type the morning fog has almost totally cleared and the sunshine is beaming in through the windows.

It should be a beautiful day today with high at or above 13.

The pattern for the week will be much the same. Clouds in the morning, a slight chance of showers moving through now and then, and glimpses (some longer than others, particularly Wednesday) of warm sunshine. We are slated to reach 15C and 16C on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!

Normal for this time of year is 14C so we’re finally a little above normal though for the month we’re still running below normal at only 10C for our daily maximums.

Longer range, we shouldn’t expect any major heatwaves. All the long range models are calling for normal to cooler-than-normal conditions to persist for us likely thanks to the continuing cool waters off our shores (thanks PDO) and the remnants of La Nina that have yet to turn to full El Nino status.
