Welcome to May! How about 29°C today?
It got up to a balmy 25°C yesterday both at Alberniweather and officially at the Airport. The record was 28.5°C in 1998 so we didn’t get there, but still not too shabby.
Today will be even hotter though. Considering we have consistently out performed the forecast high by a degree or two every day we have a chance at breaking 30°C today! I haven’t even had a chance to start up a contest!
Here is the latest chart run. If you are wondering why the colours are different from the ones from earlier this week, don’t worry that fooled me for a bit too! But they have simply shifted to their “summer” scale so the colors for each temperature has changed.
This will be a very short loved hot spell. Tomorrow we will be back down in the 15°C range and will stay there with a chance of showers through the weekend.
