Just in time for stormy weather today, I’m very happy and excited to announce that Alberniweather is now a Blog.

This Message area will be updated more easily, and be fully searcheable, archived, allow comments, and support RSS news feed of the messages. So if you see something, or just want to chat about the weather, feel free to drop by with a comment! As with any new websites, there will be some growing pains. If you notice anything strange, don’t hesitate to email me or leave a comment.

This major update will allow me to more easily add new features in the future, customization is not far away. I hope you like it.

Update 11:08AM: Environment Canada still has a wind warning for the whole Island posted… though it seems the forecasted SouthEasterlies have shifted to the East a little which means Port Alberni might be protected from the worst of it… the barometer is still falling slowly so we’ll see what happens when it reverses and the winds back the other way.

Update 11:28AM: Environment Canada has lifted the Wind Warning for Inland Van Island (Port Alberni), the East Coast, and the Sunshine Coast… there is still a warning for other parts of the Island and South Coast.

  1. Hi everyone,

This is just a test of the Comment system.
The first time you post a comment it will be held in a moderation queue until I approve it. This is so that spammers don’t get through easily.
This page needs a little work formatting wise… I’ll be getting to it soon.

    Enjoy!

    Chris
