Wednesday showers. Thursday rain. Weekend variable. Keep an eye on snow melt.

This is the bleary eyed, I-stayed-up-until-1AM-on-a-school-night-because-i-was-glued-to-the-election edition so forgive me for being brief.

There is what appears to be a system coming with showers starting after noon today. Here is the imagery.  Most the precipitation is focus in the central Island mountainous regions to start.

However, overnight and into Thursday morning the rain will intensify and we should get some good accumulations in the 15-30mm range before it is all done. Below is Friday morning 5-8AM

And here is the total 24 hours between 5-5PM Wednesday-Thursday.

We have a decent snowpack at or slightly above normal, so with the warm temperatures we might need to keep an eye on river run off.

Thankfully it only appears to be a one day event for now… it will dry out for the weekend there is more rain coming next week. So, like the election, stay tuned.
