Very spotty showers – Mostly dry particularly after Friday.

The forecast from Environment Canada seems a little more dramatic and pessimistic than it needs to be for Tuesday and Wednesday.

There will be showers around the Island but as you can see below, only on the southern portions, and only very light. These are 24 hour accumulations for Tue-Wed and We’d-Thur 5AM-5AM.

Rain Scale – Millimeters on top, centi-inches on bottom. (1024cin = 10 inches)

Canada Day looks to be almost completely dry across the southern Island with just faint whisks of moisture.

Thursday more widespread rain

On Thursday things change a little and we get some rain pushing in to the west coast and some bands of showers along the east coast by 5PM

Rain ends Friday night.

On Friday we see a chance for more widespread rain in the afternoon.

It will persist through the evening and end overnight Friday. There is no rain in the forecast after Friday! It is not expected to be hot, but we should see the sun and have very pleasant days from Saturday through to this time next week.

Happy Tuesday!
