We have definitely had a change in our weather!

But hey, we did at least manage to be clear enough last night to see the Perseids. Here is one I caught on camera on the 9th! (Top left) Even though the peak has passed you should be able to see meteors streaking through the sky for the next few days whenever the skies clear.

We are cooler and the cool air is bringing with it fog and low clouds. We also have what looks like a real pacific front just lurking off the coast.

That front is going to get here on Wednesday and bring rain mostly to the north Island but should bring some our way as well.

This is significant, as this is the first time we’ve seen a strong pacific front come through for a couple months.

The change is thanks to a reinvigorated jets team that had be lost up north for the past month and is now back down near us and good and strong. As long as it is aimed at us, we will continue to get cooler, more variable weather.

It looks like we will have to deal with this for at least a week or two.
