Here is a quick illustration of what the Rapid update cycle model from NOAA has for tonight. Temperature should be steady where it is now (around -1C) and so perfect conditions for snow.

As you can see. Nothing major. We may not even get 5cm worth, it all depends how moist the front is, which it doesn’t seem very. But hopefully it’s enough to make for a nice white Saturday morning.

The weekend should be quiet and cold. Don’t let the snow harden up on your driveways and paths though because it will only make what seems to be coming for Monsay, Tuesday and Wednesday, more unpleasant.

  1. Well, that was about right Chris!  It started just after 6 in North Port, and piled up pretty good for a while, but I think we only had 3-4 cm before midnight.  It’s melted away on the roads and driveways now.
