It’s official! Summer is here and it’s beautiful!

We are in for a good two weeks of solid sunshine. More than enough to warm up the lake!

The hottest day in the span looks to be Sunday when we should hit 30C. That’s going to mean a winner in the Summer Heat Contest!

Enough blogging, get there and enjoy the sunshine! Happy Thursday!

  1. Hey they are having one of the most active storm seasons ever on the prairies and a lot of storm (read:tornado) chasers have been coming north. here is a link where you can check some live streaming if interested.

I kind of miss that kind of active weather.

  2. Thinking if we didn’t have this haze from the fires below the 49th parallel it would be 32 or higher today.

  3. Correction: latest models showing the smoke/haze is coming across from Siberia.

  4. Any links for he smoke tracks? It’s certainly coming from somewhere! And it definitely kept us from getting to 30C today!

Oh well, it was still beautiful. I do worry a bit about air quality though. The haze is as thick as I’ve every seen it.

    1. I can’t find the exact article, as I initially read it on my phone.  My aunt tells me they mentioned the Siberia source on the 6pm news, so I’ll go search GlobalNews

  5. I thought the smoke was from Colorado.  EC had us at 30C at 15:00, 17:00 and 18:00.
