Snow still in for Saturday Afternoon… then lots of rain

So the snow is still in the forecast for this afternoon as cold air hangs above us. We’ll see if we actually get any. I’m not optimistic at this point, but you never know!

Remember, it has to be “measurable” snow for the contest to be won, so it has to stick to the ground enough for me to get a ruler into! Just snow falling from the sky doesn’t cut it for this hugely massive and amazing prize! 😀

Expect lots and lots of rain in the next few days. The Computer model is calling for over 250mm by Tuesday. The West Coast has a rainfall warning for up to 120mm by tomorrow. I haven’t heard about any wind warnings…

Enjoy the dry weather while you can, and be careful driving any of the mountain passes!

  1. I have mixed pellets/snow flakes falling here, but its getting warmer, so I would expect the switch to sleet/rain soon.

  2. A lot of rain now. For us Weather afflicted? Yeah, at least we have some kinda’ warning. Yaaaa, I know that I have a “weather imballance” maybe there’s some kind of cure………therapy. Maybe, there just might be a little wind….Yikes…..I am a hopeless weather case…..that’s for sure!!!

  3. Wow. That’s a lot of rain in the forecast now. I guess I blew my snow prediction – but it sure was close!
