While there does look to be a bit of snow coming starting Tuesday, and it is nearly guaranteed to be all white, the models are pushing back the main chunk of precipitation until Wednesday night and Thursday morning now.

It is likely to start as snow overnight Wednesday Wednesday afternoon and then switch to rain and looks like a possibility of some wind too. You can see the flags pointing up towards the Island from the Southwest in the image below.

The black line denotes 0C and hugs the coast. So we will once again be at the mercy of our local Valley effects and the whether a warmer wind blows in.

The week before Christmas looks like we might get into a Pineapple Express type situation. The models are saying it will stay around freezing, but I’m leaning more towards above the snow line. We won’t know for sure for a few days yet but I think we can be confident there will be active weather from this Thursday straight through Christmas.
