Slightly soggy week but brightening ahead.

If it isn’t raining at this moment, wait a few minutes and it likely will. 🙂

Here are the predictions for 8AM Monday, 8PM Monday and 2PM Tuesday.

You can see the patches of rain that are already happening on the Island.  I drove through a bunch on the way to work this morning.  It’s going to be potentially blustery this afternoon too.

Tuesday looks a little more serious as far as the rain goes with stronger downpours expected in the Bowser/Beaver Creek area of the Beauforts and the north Nanaimo area.  These will also carry a chance of thunder and lightning.

After another slight chance of showers Wednesday it looks dry for the rest of the week and into the weekend.

Skies brightening for last half of June.

Looking at the long range forecast from the 16 day model consensus at SpotX, the temperatures show a clear warming trend as the median daily average temperature goes from 11ºC today to 20ºC on the 27th.

This corresponds to a drop in expected cloud coverage from over 90% today to under 10% on the 27th.

So don’t worry, June is just being June, and by the time summer officially begins on the 20th we will have brighter, warmer times ahead of us.

Happy Monday!
