Red Sky This Morning, Rain Warning (for some)

It was a nice 2nd earliest Standard time sunrise this morning. Remember we “spring ahead” this Sunday morning.

As the saying goes, the red sky warns of storms ahead, and today it is indeed true. By sunrise tomorrow we should be in full swing with some of our heaviest rain of the year. There is a rain warning for the West Coast, but not for our area.

The model shows above anywhere from a low of 4mm (orange/pink) to a high of 16mm (blue) falling for the 6-7AM hour Saturday morning.

In total It predicts over 60mm to fall in parts of the Valley (below in pink) by 4PM Saturday.

There may be a little wind as well though I suspect yesterday’s afternoon and evening gusts were worse than what we will see for wind tomorrow.

It will continue to shower a bit through Sunday but it looks like we can expect a dry and warm week next week. Spring is coming!
