Right now it looks like a quiet week, some rain today but after that it is likely to be mostly foggy with hopefully some sunny breaks.

It almost looks alive,

Note the thickest ice being pushed to the west along the top of the Canadian Archipelago.

An here is a cool image of the structure and fractures in the ice at and around the North Pole (the dot in the circle)

See the giant triangle of cracks with the North Pole almost at the apex? One side of the triangle would be around 1600km long… Or from Vancouver to…. Regina? These cracks are normal for weaker ice that is being pushed and pulled by the winds.
