Quiet Start to Week – Comox Boil Water Advisory enters 2nd Month

Nothing happening until Thursday

It looks like a quiet week ahead on the weather front.  There is no rain forecast in the UWash model for the next 3 days as a ridge of high pressure deflects oncoming fronts to our North.  On Thursday there a system is slated to break through.

Thursday 1PM Rain forecast

Thursday and Friday should add up to around 30mm of rain and then there is no rain forecast after that.

At least some of that should fall as snow on the Mountains.  Then it will cool off on the weekend with temperatures near zero.

City of Courtenay and Comox enter 2nd Month of Boil Water Advisory due to December event.

Even though it has been over a month since the historic rainfall events in December, the Comox Valley Regional District still has a boil water advisory in place for the entire Cities of Courtenay and Comox. High levels of turbidity in Comox Lake have persisted.  Island Health has strict guidelines on the amount of turbidity allowed in drinking water (1″NTU”).
