Pleasant Start Friday – Possible afternoon Thundershowers – Rainy for Thunder in the Valley

It will be a nice start on Friday but unfortunately there will be rain starting late Friday afternoon lasting until 8PM.  Unfortunately this coincides with the Show and Shine but it should not be too distuptive.

There is the possibilityy of some thundershowers though.

Thunder in the Valley looking wet

This unfortunately not a good forecast for the annual drag races.

Rain sweeps into the region by around 8AM Saturday morning. It will peak around 2PM and taper off by 8PM.

There is always the chance that it might pull back to the Norht and spare us, but at this point it seems like a pretty sure bet.

24hr totals between 5AM Saturday and Sunday are in the 16mm range for our area.  More if you are on the West or East coast of the Island.

Expect just some isolated showers all over the Island on Sunday, they should not amount to much.  And it will warm back up a bit too compared to barely hitting 20°C on Saturday.  We will have one last little bit of rain on Monday if the forecast holds.

The good news in all this of course is it will dampen our fire danger down quite a bit.  There are no big ridges of high pressure expected to build back in for the lengh of the extended forecast to next week.  Though Wednesday does looks the most likely to get near 30°C again.

The super long range does actually show some bouts of rain through the middle of the month. Up to 75mm worth in the next 2 weeks.  That would be pretty significant if we actually get all that.  Time will tell.

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday.
