Merry Christmas! So close, but no snow for Christmas Morning. Maybe for Turkey Dinner?

Port Alberni doesn’t get snow for Christmas. It is quite rare. And this year looks like we will *just* miss it.  Other parts of the South Coast including the Fraser Valley and the Cowichan area might see snow Christmas Eve! So they are pretty lucky!

Christmas Day actually might be sunny (though there is a chance it will only be foggy in Port Alberni.) but if we are lucky and the next system comes a little sooner and it gets a little colder than expected, we will see some flurries during the Christmas dinner on the 25th. Don’t expect it to stick if it does, but we can hope. 🙂

Snow is expected to stay at higher elevations on Boxing Day but be careful if you are driving, particularly in the early morning.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season. I will be taking a break from the website until next week unless something major happens.

Take care and stay safe out there.

Chris
