Not too much to get excited about over the next few days. We will remain in a relatively calm and mild pattern. Don’t expect any hot afternoons or soaking downpours. I think you can safely say it will be pleasant but not spectacular.

The long range has some more consistent wetness but again nothing major. You will want to keep watering your gardens regularly rather than wait for mother nature to provide the drink.

In other news. I thought I should pass along this link.

http://mapcenter.hamweather.com/records/yesterday/us.html

It’s a great interface showing records set across the US yesterday, and you can select any other past date using their menu. Very cool. It doesn’t do Canada, but of course the weather regions are pretty well matched when near the 49th.

You’ll notice the huge amount of record highs set yesterday… But also note the record low maximum temperatures set in the Washington, Oregon and Idaho. It’s pretty clear that in this part of the Continent we remain in a cooler than normal pattern.

Have a great weekend. And oh, by the way… GO CANUCKS!!

  1. Great link Chris – you can zoom in on the Northwest for the past week and see quite a few records.
