Sorry for the downtime. My routine has been thrown off somewhat due to technical changes. Should be return to regular blogging now.:)

Yesterday, Cliff Mass mentioned the possibility of snow next weekend and tall_monty mentioned in comments in the post below it was in the forecast models as well.

Long range (greater than a week) forecasts are often wrong. However, this one, starting the weekend of March 3rd, is worth checking out:

Cold March 1 2012

Really? Down to below -10C? That certainly would be something. Especially for March. We’ll just have to see if that forecast holds. I have my doubts, but it sure would make for a great end to (Meteorological) winter. 🙂

What is perhaps a little more likely is that shot of precipitation right before the deep freeze being snowy. That’s what Cliff Mass was talking about yesterday and as it has been all winter, it looks like another very borderline system. Could fall as snow, could be just slush and rain. Likely all of the above depending where you are.

A little closer at hand, you can expect it to rain pretty steadily from this afternoon and through tomorrow. Nothing major. We will get a few more showers on Thursday before our turned towards cooler and drier weather into next week.
