Today is the first half-day of spring! 🙂 Spring will officially start at 4:21PM PDT. I’m hoping we’re in the sunshine by then. The fog rolled in not long after the Super Moon rose above the mountains and now we’re locked into a chilly morning.

It will stay pretty dry the next few days with only a chance of showers here and here. It will likely be similar to yesterday where we had a few looks at the sun, lots of clouds around, and the odd light shower.

Towards the end of the week it gets interesting. The airmass aloft is chilly… so don’t put away your snow shovels yet because there is a possibility of snow on the weekend. We’ll see what happens as the time approaches.

There will be a little bit more in the way of showers Tuesday afternoon. Will be flurries at higher elevations.

I’ll see if I can throw together a summary of the winter weather stats for 2010/2011 today or tomorrow.

Happy Spring Equinox.
