Happy New Year everyone. 2013 is here and the weather marches on.

There isn’t much to say about the weather actually, we are in a quiet pattern for now with no big freezes or storms happening.

Here is the wide view of the Precipitation model for Thursday. As you can see, there isn’t much happening out there.

I would like to thank all of you for visiting the site in 2012. It was my busiest year ever with almost 150,000 visits and 190,000 views.

The pages have now been viewed 1.6 million times and I just passed the 500,000 visit mark this past month. Thank you.

My goal for this year is to make the website more robust so that when big events happen it can handle the load. My biggest traffic is always when there is big weather, or big events like Tsunamis and Earthquake warnings. I’m also hoping to redesign the website a little so that it is both faster and easier to read on your computer or mobile device.

Here’s to a great 2013.

  1. Happy New Year Chris and all of the weather fanatics out there. Do you see a cold wave happening anytime soon? Or something that would cause a dump of snow to happen?

    1. Doesn’t look like it Dan. Pretty much sticking just above freezing for the next while. No big Arctic pushes in the weekly or monthly forecasts either.
