The Fall Equinox is tomorrow, September 22nd at 7:49AM PDT. Don’t expect much change in the weather though because aside from the fog being more persistent, the sun will still be breaking through and deliver pleasant afternoons for at least another week or two.

The only negative is how dry it has been but we’ve managed to escape without too much trouble. Eventually it will change. If you are wondering what you might be missing out on, southeast Alaska has been getting pounded for weeks with system after system courtesy of the Pineapple Express.

Alaska storms

On the 19th a storm delivered over 1.4in (35mm) of rain to Seward and over 1in to Anchorage.

Eventually that firehose is going to point in our direction. So love this weather while you can. 🙂
