It must be spring time. The birds are chirping, the flowers are starting to bloom, the time is changing (yawwwn), and the weather reports are proclaiming “double digit” highs as if each time they utter the phrase it buries winter further into the recesses of our minds so we shall never have to think of it again… Or at least until next winter, or perhaps in a couple weeks.

Snow is far from unusual in March and even April but I do admit it was pretty darn nice to walk out into the warm embrace of 12.5°C temperatures and partly sunny skies yesterday.

Remember it was only a week or two ago that we were dealing with our biggest snowfall of the year!

Well, by the end of this week that indeed may just seem like a distant memory. As long as the fog burns off we should see highs over 10°C every day this week and possibly up to 15°C if we get a little lucky.
Here’s the temp map for the area on Wednesday, notice the very warm air creeping up Puget Sound.

There will be chance for rain through the week though. Wednesday a weak system will slide down and might give us a few showers.

Then another stronger system looks set for Friday. None of it will stop the warmth though. There are no periods where temperatures are forecast below zero this week.

Happy Monday!
