It won’t be quite as spectacular today as it was on Tuesday but it shouldn’t be too bad.

The fog might hang around a little longer today. I’d expect it to burn off around noon. Once it does there will be high clouds but it should be around 10-12°C and dry.

Tomorrow we will be under threat again for April showers. Showers should begin by 5AM Thursday morning.

It won’t dry out until Friday morning… Friday looks OK and then a smaller threat of showers will move in Friday night.

Also note: there was a major Earthquake (8.2) in Chile yesterday. A small Tsunami was generated, but it poses no threat to our region. That said our local tide gauge should be registering the echos of the wave right now in the 7-8AM hour. Always amazes me that something tens of thousands of kilometres away can be ‘felt’ here.

My favourite map for earthquake tracking is here. You can set it to zoom on your location, and set it to look for either all earthquake over 2.5 or over 4.5 over the past day, 7 days, or longer.

We’ve had two over 4.5 in the past 7 days. One off of the West Coast, and one on Haida Gwaii.

Hopefully the link works.
Happy Hump Day!
