We got down to a low of -5.1 on Monday morning. We should go down a little lower Tuesday before we start to warm up on Wednesday. Relatively anyway… Tuesday we could hit -10 or lower with a windchill. Last night they mentioned -18 as a possibility of windchill which is pretty bonechilling for us warm-weather west coasters.

On Thursday we have the possibility of a snow event. It will be all about timing. We’ll get a regular Pacific front coming at us with lots of moisture and warm air so the question will be how long can the cold air last in the valley before it is all washed or blown away.

Lots of potential there for slushiness on the roads and very heavy eaves troughs.

Enjoy the cold! I think this is a taste of what is to come for our winter.
