Blustery morning. Watch for snow on Hump today. In town Saturday?

Updates

Original Post

CBC Radio reports snow in Port Hardy this morning at 6AM. Expect the chance of snow to reach down the Island through the day today particularly at higher elevations. Below is the snow picture between 7-10AM. You can see it clinging to the hills and mountains.

The most likely place for snow will be on the Hump and Sutton Pass so be aware of rapidly changing conditions all day and into this evening.

Lower elevations will just see rain. We should dry out before 10PM tonight.

Friday afternoon flurries?

There looks to be a much less organized bit of weather on Friday with patches of rain and possible flurries popping all over the Island after noon. Higher elevations will again be the most likely place. The greatest threat for snowfall looks like the Bowser area Friday between 1-4PM

Saturday morning Alberni and afternoon Nanaimo snow?

Saturday looks fun! The model shows a bought of snow showers in the Alberni Valley early Saturday morning between 1-4AM.

And then a strong possible dump of snow in the Nanaimo area between 1-4PM.

A little bit of everything! It must be spring!
