We might be in the fog a lot this week. Certainly today and tomorrow will be foggy. Tomorrow (Tuesday) will also feature some rain in the morning.

But it will again be one of these fronts coming down from the north which generally fly over top of us and focus their precipitation on the West and East coasts of the island. We haven’t had a good southerly flow or anything approaching a “Pineapple Express” for quite some time. The ski hills are noticing this the most.

The good news though is that we are approaching the Winter solstice, and the sunsets are already creeping later. The first day of winter will be Saturday the 21st.

We might see a shot of cold on Thursday morning, but it should quickly retreat and we will be back to similar fog and rain showers through the weekend and approaching Christmas Eve.

Oh, and in other news, Brett Anderson of Accuweather.com and other sources are reporting that November 2013 was the warmest November on record since 1880 as compiled by NASA.
