Alert: Winds Shift and Ocean Effect kicks in Monday night. Snowing in Victoria and parts of East VI

Just a quick update. The winds have shifted and there are multiple reports, and webcams are showing snow falling in Victoria and Ladysmith. 20131202-201634.jpg

Expect spotty flurries tonight as the Arctic air flows in and these easterly winds continue. Doubtful that the winds will reach Port alberni and bring snow, but the east side of Highway 4, Qualicum, and Coombs might get some.

You can see the current flurries as the light green spots on the radar (which you can get to on the top right three pictures… It’s the bottom satellite and radar image)

Please drive safe and check the webcams on the webcam page here (click the webcam picture at top or on right).
