After this mornings snowfall ends (we have about 2cm here). It’s going to warm up much like it did on Wednesday and it’s going to stay warm as a more southwesterly flow takes hold and delivers plenty of rain from the sub-tropics.

You’ll want to keep your drains clear in case we get any bursts but for the most part I think yesterday was probably the worst in terms of flooding threat. We may have to keep an eye on the local rivers and streams as some melt might happen up on the mountains that causes those to swell.

Long story short, we’re back to a West Coast Winter pattern. Mild and wet. Jan 20-21 looks like it could get stormy. More on that in a later post.

Oh I forgot to add I made a second snow video. This time with both the snowfall and the snowmelt.

  1. Yeah, back to warm and wet alright. The tides aren’t very high for the next few days so there shouldn’t be any real flooding – except for some pooling on the roads in the usual spots.
