A break on Friday – Rain Saturday / Sunday – Sunny and warm next week!

The worst is over

We are through the worst of it now that the front has past. We had winds up to 54kph at Alberniweather and we’ve had another 30mm of rain since midnight bringing the storm total over the past 3 days to 89 mm and counting. We’ll see if we get more than a 3 hour break in the rain for the storm counter to reset.

Showers are expected to linger across the Island today and into Saturday. A final weak front will cross the island on Saturday morning around noon with most of the rain falling in the 8-11AM period.

Rain Scale – Millimeters on top, centi-inches on bottom. (1024cin = 10 inches)

We should only get less than 5mm in that period and probably less than 10 all day Saturday.

Drying out Sunday for Sun and warmth next week!

We should start to clear up on Sunday afternoon and then by Monday we should have sunshine! Given the season we will probably get some fog in the mornings but it should burn off every day and it will be back to feeling like summer!

Have a great weekend! You made it through the first storm of the fall! Hooray!
