Well, I think today might be it.

Get out there and enjoy the sun because after today you’ll be seeing a lot more cloud, and by the end of week, some rain.

First, Ken Clark at Accuweather says the West Coast is in for a cool down. Now he’s in California, so they’ll be coming down for way up high, but even Seattle has been 4F above normal over the past week and we’ve been way up there too. We’re looking at getting back to normal temperatures (10-15C highs) this week.

Bret Anderson at Accuweather gives us a little more detail on the next month worth of weather… basically, cool, and wet… in other words. Normal. 🙂

We’ve had a great run this summer.

Maybe our next contest should be…. first frost?

  1. Hey Chris, weather underground shows a chance of snow for next Friday, whoaaa? Such a discrepancy between environment canada’s forcasted low of 10 for Fri? What’s up with that?

  2. That’s pretty wild!

    They’re calling for a low of 0C and a windchill of -2C

    Wow.

Well, I guess all we can do is wait. We’ll know by Tuesday what the solid forecast is for Friday.

My GFS map only goes out 4 days… the 7 day GSF model Forecast only shows it going down to around 2C on Wednesday though, so who knows!

  3. SNOW?!?!?!? Isn’t that a little early? I know Mt Washington might get dusted in the coming week or two, and I heard there was a snow prediction for Alberta, but out here?!? Methinks someone got their forecasts a little mixed up. 😉

  4. Chris, when I left my house yesterday morning at about 8:00 it was 2C and the neighbour’s roof had frost on the north slope!

  5. Well, I had to scrape frost off of the car windows yesterday morning. So much for the contest! It has already been…

  6. I see our local hilltops (as well as the ranges out to the coast and up Bedwell Valley) were nicely dusted with the seasons first snowfall.
