Some slush on the highway. Clear and cool week ahead.

The drive over the hump today included some slush cleared to the edge of the highway from the top of the hump to Cathedral Grove.  Other than that, it was salted and sanded and generally wet.

The clouds are already starting to clear and a strong and chilly NW wind is blowing in Parksville. It is relatively calm in Port Alberni.

The rest of the week should be generally clear with a chance of fog in the morning.  There is some serious disagreement between the temperture forecast from EC for the mornings and UWash. EC says -7°C tomorrow (Wed) morning.  Uwash, as you can see below in light and dark green, does not get below zero.

The Uwash model has us getting anlittle warmer during the day earlier in the week but by the end ofnthe work week both EC and Uwash agree we will get near 10°C in the afternoons. There is no rain or snow predicted all the way out to next Tuesday. A nice stretch of weather.

Happy Tuesday!
