It’s been two weeks since we had any rain at all. Fire rating is extreme and there is no rain in the forecast for at least another 4 or 5 days, probably more.

I’m not sure what the longest streak without rain is, but I’m sure Environment Canada will be on the news telling us that sooner rather than later.

On the brighter side, California is starting to cool off, so that means the Hawaii Mars might be back as soon as this weekend.

The solar radiation sensor has been delayed in getting to me but I’m told it should be here by the end of the month at the latest.

Don’t forget about the Garage Sale this Saturday!

  1. Yes!

Not enough to trip the rain gauge yet, it’s probably a little dirty/sticky from the dry weather.. but it was a little bit of love for the garden!

  2. Hi Chris, I had rain on my Daughters playground!!! Do you know if there is going to be a break in this Heat Wave soon? I would love to see a couple of days of rain!!!
    Keep up the good work!!

  3. Hey Chris…..It’s a very eeeerie calm out in Beaver Creek on the river. No birds, no nothing….oooh the wind just kicked very minimum. How weird, very wierd! Just thought it was worth a mention. Usually….it’s like a tropical jungle with all the bird sounds. But for the last hour nothing….not even a tweet.!

  4. Hi Lynn and Eve!

I think the heat wave is officially broken! Definitely cooler and has a very imminent wetness to it.

Looks like we could actually get substantial rain the next few days.. will be nice to see.

Eve: It’s blustery here in town… I think the birdies are hunkering down for a cool wet night!
